What an interesting album this is. It’s going to take more than three listens to figure it out, so I had to buy. Alternative rock with doom and metal components at face value, but there’s an intensity and purpose that makes me think of Syd Barrett era Pink Floyd, and the nods to pop at times are reminiscent of Marilyn Manson. Whatever it is it belongs in my collection.

Somehow there's a lot of reverb but it doesn't feel thin. But that's why we love the band, this and what it became. No one other really can do it on the same level.
